Why Alpha

Insurance adjusters work for the insurance company. We work for you.

Most public adjusters read a claim file. Alpha reads the roof — because our team's roofing background runs deeper than a desk estimate.

We speak roofer, not just adjuster

Our roofing background means we can explain to insurers exactly why a repair or replacement is necessary — down to the difference between true coal-tar pitch and asphalt built-up roofing.

On the roof, not just on paper

Most adjusters spend an hour on-site, once. We've returned to a single property multiple times during one claim — including pre-dawn inspections to catch hail dents that are invisible in daylight.

Built for the hard claims

Gravel-surfaced built-up roofs (GBUR) trip up most adjusters entirely. It's the claim type our team is best known for resolving.

Fighting for the full settlement

Every scope-of-work decision is backed by hands-on roofing experience, not a generic estimate — so nothing gets quietly left off the claim.

From People Who've Watched Us Work

Other roofers and adjusters notice the difference too.

Tim can explain exactly why a scope-of-work is necessary — most adjusters don't even know a typical tar-and-gravel roof isn't tar at all.

— West Texas Insurance Adjuster

Best in the state, maybe the Midwest, at resolving claims on tar-and-gravel roofs.

— Lubbock Roofer

Nobody works a GBUR claim the way Tim does. He's a rare bird in this industry.

— West Texas Public Adjuster

He found dents on my roof at 3:15 in the morning with a flashlight. Nobody works a claim harder than Tim.

— Lubbock Property Manager
Our Story

100+ years of combined experience. One standard on every claim.

Tim Adams founded Alpha Public Adjusters after a career as a third-generation roofer, on the belief that a public adjuster should understand a roof as well as the people who built it.

Since 1985, that roofing-first approach has shaped how Alpha handles disputed property damage claims — hail, storm, fire, and water — the kind most adjusters can't fully explain, let alone win. Today the same standard guides every inspection our team runs, with offices in Lubbock, TX and Tulsa, OK, and claims handled across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Kansas.
